Long Description
NotchWise is a macOS menu-bar app that shows spaced repetition flashcards in the MacBook notch. Users review cards passively throughout their day. Each review takes roughly five seconds, right where the notch already sits.
Imports standard Anki .apkg decks, preserving card formatting, media, and tags. Users can also create decks manually. Scheduling uses the SM-2 algorithm (free tier) or FSRS (Pro). Review statistics are tracked locally and displayed in a built-in analytics dashboard covering retention rates, streak data, and workload forecasts.
Context-aware deck routing detects the foreground application and switches to a relevant deck automatically. The app also detects screen sharing (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet) and auto-hides.
All data stays on the user's Mac in a local SQLite database. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts. Free tier: one deck, up to 50 cards. Pro (£14.99 one-time): unlimited decks, FSRS scheduling, context routing, and AI-powered card generation.
